- History of Use
- The Old Farmer’s Almanac is an American publication that lists weather forecasts, planting tables, zodiac secrets and other astronomical information relating to farming practices. The publication was first started in 1792, during Benjamin Franklin’s first term in office.
The cover of the Old Farmer’s Almanac changed in 1851, when the image of Benjamin Franklin appeared opposite the founder Robert B. Thomas. Benjamin Franklin’s portrait was placed there since he was considered the father of modern almanacs. Franklin’s portrait remains to this day. - Record Rights
