The very end is tool, is a small metal cap, then there is a 7cm wooden handle.  There is another 17cm of metal after the handle.  This has a metal section that slides up and down a metal post which has a broad end.  the part that slides up and down can be adjusted to clamp different sizes of wood, etc.
