This piece depicts a couple of men working in a garden. One of the men is operating the plow which is being hauled by a large work horse. the other man has control of the reins. There is a barn in the background to the left. In the foreground, to the side of the garden, is a wooden wheelbarrel, a shovel and hoe, as well as a few buckets and crates. There are a couple of birds on the ground watching the activity.
