Description
This framed colour photograph depicts the last day of duty for the Digby Police Department before being handed over to the RCMP. There are four uniformed men standing in front of a police cruiser at the Digby Police Department station. These men are Arthur Sullivan, Lloyd G. Thibodeau, Chief Webster Dunn, and Stan Vidito. Don Jayne was also a member of the Dept., but he was not in the photograph. The men are all wearing white hats except for Mr. Sullivan.
The police cruiser says "DIGBY NS POLICE" on the door, and the station has a sign for the department above the window.

The frame is black wood with a brown wood trim. This is followed by a green and white cardboard matte surrounding the photograph. Below the photograph is a clipping from the Digby Courier from July 12, 1995, describing the people in the photo. It reads "It's 20 years since the Digby police department handed over to the RCMP. Sanding beside a police cruiser on their last day of duty were, from left, Arthur Sullivan, Lloyd G. Thibodeau, Chief Webster Dunn and Stan Vidito. Missing from the photo was Don Jayne. (Contributed)"
